I am rebuilding my pond and instead of selling all my koi I want to keep a couple. I have a 75g thats not setup. I know its not ideal but its better than a fish store. The filter isn't cycled, is there anything I can do to help hold off ammonia. I know a couple water changes a week will help but is there anything else. They'll be there for a few weeks.

An ammonia binding water conditioner and zeolite chemical filtration will help some. Lots and lots of water changes would probably be your best bet though. Unless you have odd tapwater conditions daily water changes would not be too often.

Daily water changes, use of AmmoLock, add a nitrifying agent, seed the tank with a pad from your existing filter, reduce the pH to below 7.0 to lock potential ammonia into the less toxic ammonium, do not feed the fish.
