I also do 50% water changes about every 2 days on my tank Keeps Princess my veiltail goldie happy, and I get to enjoy feeding her without worrying too much about messing up the water. Even with the heavily planted tanks (of which I'm down to one), it helps keep trace elements up, phosphates down, and the fish happy, healthy, and spawning. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com!

I do it that often probably 90% of the time, but it has gone about month before. That's what I love about heavily planted tanks, though. I don't have to worry about it too much. Even after that long without a water change, the fish are still triving and the nitrates are still under 5ppm. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
