I just started my new 50 gal tank about 1 week ago today. About 3 days ago my tank went totally cloudy. I have no fish in the tank yet. I added ph adjuster to bring the levels down and I added what thsy call "stress releif" which i was told was a de-clorinator. What did I do wrong? Do I need to empty the tank and startr from scratch? Help.

Your tank is cycling.
The cloudy water is a sign of bacterial bloom from my experience.

IMHO i wouldn't do anything, but you could read up on a lot of information on "cycling" on the this website.
There is some products which speed up cycling such as NIC, but i ve never used them so im not in the position to say anything.

Doing nothing is actually the best thing you can do in this case. That and test your water daily for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte . [link=Here is info on cycling]http://www.fishprofiles.net/faq/begin-cycling.asp" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link]. Products like Cycle and biospira contain the bacteria that you're trying to grow.

Let things take its course. Monitor the ammonia and nitrite levels. Feed gently. Don't clean the tank or filters. It will pass on its own.
