I accidentally poured the whole bottle of water conditioner into my aquarium. Its an 80 gallon tank with nothing in it yet but It was only supposed to get about half of the bottle. Do I have to worry or will it be ok?

Hi,
Because there is nothing in it at this time, I would not
worry about it. Simply do a 20% water change or two before
putting any fish in it. Plants, I would not worry about I'd
go ahead and plant the tank.

I think it will be okay, I frequently use larger dose of that stuff than recommended on the bottle because we have very haevily chlorinated water.......also, from what I understand, the ingredients break down in a fairly quick amount of time.....some of them as soon as you put it in (neutralizing the chlorine/chloramine) This one is nothing to worry about.

I read a post somewhere on here a few weeks back about someone's neice or daughter dumping a whole bottle in a tank full o' fish with no ill affects. If I can find the post I'll put the link on here.

As Frank stated a few good water changes would not hurt at all. To be on the safe side do a full water test before adding anything to the tank.

Yes, do a couple of water changes & do a test before adding any fish.
