sounds like a bacterial bloom. i would recomend something like filter aid and a water change to clear the problem up.

hope that helps

Either a bacteria bloom or an algae bloom or a combination of the two. You need to:
1. Clean your filter,
2. Perform a large water change,
3. Vacuum your gravel,
4. Reduce your light period.

In two days you need to do:
1. A large water change,
2. Vacuum your gravel.

In four days you need to do:
1. A large water change,
2. Vacuum your gravel.

Do NOT feed your fish doing this period. Your water quality and clarity should be improved by the end of the week.

When cleaning your filter clean it in the tank water you have just removed otherwise you will create more problems. I also would add some airation.

I would be very concerned on how this happened what "Bob" has recomended will clean the tank and make the water far safer for your fish but if you continue to do exactly what you have been doing it will happen again and again.

Now for some questions.
What type of lighting do you have and how many hrs is it on for?
Filtration what type when, and how often do you clean it?
Water changes what percentage do you change and how often?
Feeding what and often do you feed your fish.
Do you have any airation?
Finally is the tank in any direct sunlight?

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
