	Wanting To Use Purigen And Need Help
MichelleD Small Fry Posts: 5 Kudos: 8 Votes: 0 Registered: 20-Jul-2005	I am wanting to use purigen in my filter http://www.bigalsonline.ca/catalog/product.xml?product_id=24455;category_id=2607;pcid1=1965;pcid2= (incase you're not familiar with it) but it says not to use it with any conditioners with a slime coat in it or the purigen will become toxic. i'm not sure what to use. all conditioners that remove chlorine and chlorimine (i need one for both because i'm not sure what's in my water) have either a slime coat in it or stimulates the natural slime coat. what can i use? can i use something that stimulates the slime coat but doesn't have the slime coat in it? any help would be apperciated Michelle

MichelleD Small Fry Posts: 5 Kudos: 8 Votes: 0 Registered: 20-Jul-2005	i bought the purigen and prime. thanks for the help. i just have another question though. i have been using aquaplus water conditioner so does that mean before i put the purigen in the filter i need to do a complete water change and clean the filter to get rid of anything left by the aquaplus? i really hope not because i'm still trying to get my tank to cycle again after changing the bio media. Michelle
