i have a relatively new tank - between 2 and three weeks old and its beginning the cycling process. i was just wondering if that has anything to do with the brown 'tint' to my water, or if that's more a consequence of the driftwood i have in there. the woman at the pet store told me that the wood might turn the water brown for a bit but im wondering if it's normal to take this long. thanks!

If your just beginning the cycling process your cloudy water is normal and will only last couple days...Your brown tint however will not go away on its own....It will with water changes or use of Carbon in your filter.....The Driftwood should have soaked in a bucket of water for several days, (constantly dumping the water, until the water is clear) then added to the tank.....But now you know
Since your in the process of your cycle doing water changes will slow down the process, but either use carbon or let the cycle happen before working on the brown water. Are you using any help with cycling? NIC to speed up the cycle?
