So what i'm wondering is how long should i wait, what lenght of mini cycle should i expect should i worry about putting in cycling fish before i get my new fishhttp://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/featherfin.xm thankyou in advance Yvette |

Was it 100% cycled? You do need something in that tank now tho. Without any fish or any source of ammonia your killing off what is left of the beneficial bacteria. If it was cycled, then your mini cycle should be minimal seeing as you have the old gravel in there, and only rinsed the sponge. If your BNs are full grown or are even sub adults then they will be able to handle a mini cycle with no problems. I know there are a lot of ifs in my response. Sorry, it's the best I can do with what info you have provided. It's impossible to put a solid time fr Last edited by Shannen at 29-Jan-2005 21:22 |

Good job! I've always found that keeping baby BNs alive a challenge, They tend to be sensitive to water quality. At a yr old I would think they could deal with it. put them in there, and keep an eye on things. Just dose the tank with Ammo-Lock to ease the stress caused by the ammonia. |

If you see any then the tank is going through a cycle again. If you don't see any then by all means get them in there. |
