The expiration date is 02 2006. Does this mean unopened or is the bottle still good. ___________________________________________ If at first you DO succeed, try not to look astonished. |

Because the fabrication process provides for dormant bacteria whether the bottle has been opened or not, the extended effectiveness would be the same. I would suggest you leave the product in room temp if the normal room temp does not exceed 25c. There's a good chance the dormant bacteria will be further retarded in dormancy when refrigerator temps are involved. The New Improved Cycle is formulated in flocs to respond quickly to tank temps once exposed to those water temps and extended oxygen. To retain NIC bacteria in refrigerator temps may produce a slower reacting active bacteria when needed quickly for starting a new tank or boosting an existing bacteria population shortfall in an existing tank. --garyroland.
