My tanks pH is starting to drop and my pH from the tap is higher. |

However, if the water change is large and the pH difference large and there's a chance of changing the tank Ph in the process, then there may be trouble. Keep the partial water changes small and perhaps more frequent than doing a large water change all at once. --garyroland. |

If your tank is 6.0, and your tap is 8 (most are that alkline) then you will stress your fish, and maby even shock them. |
