what is considered high phosphate. how much would be where it could be causing green water. i dosed nitrates but it looks like it is still coming back.

Hi,
In referencing the ECOLOGY OF THE PLANTED AQUARIUM by
Diana Walstad, she comments that the Phosphate levels in
unpoluted water is low and runs between 0.003 and 0.02mg/l.

She also mentions that in our aquariums the levels are
typically much higher (1-5mg/l). Most of this comes from
the fish food that we use.
