I let my water age overnight before i do changes, and its clear when i put it in the aging bin. But the next day there is all this gross whitish junk all in it, usually on the bottom. Its all like little particles of something, sorry i can't describe it better. Does anyone knnow what this is and how I can get rid of it?

thanks!
ashley

its minerals, like calcium, lime , ect in your water.

only way to get rid of it- is a good water filter.

If it's just minerals there's not really a way to get rid of it. If it's settling out of the water then don't use the water from the bottom to avoid adding more of it to the tank. Your tank filter might suck up some of it but it will likely just break back down into smaller particles again. Have you tested the ph or hardness of your water? Basically the more calcium the higher the ph and the harder the water. If it's really high you can have trouble keeping some fish.
