| Care: | This species likes to live in river tanks with sandy bottoms that are well planted. They can eat plants if they think there is prey on them but usually only take small chunks. Adding salt to the tank will keep them healthier if they are in freshwater, and the temperature in the tank should be raised into the 80's with salt to help rid them of ich as they respond poorly to medications. |
