Old Text:The Blue Botia grows very slowly, usually growing no more than one centimeter every year once the fish is past 8cm. Body colour may vary from grey to deep blue, however, recently there have been artificially dyed varieties appearing in stores. These dyed fish are either a purplish-pink color or an unnatural bright blue, and are called "Strawberry" and "Blueberry" loaches, respectively.
