Old Text: | As with other Corydoras, these make great bottom dwelling inhabitants for peaceful community fish tanks. Corydoras paleatus is one of the largest and hardiest species in the genus, and has been bred in aquaria for many years. There is a "high fin" version possessing a dorsal fin even taller than that of the wild fish, and there is also a longfinned form. Corydoras paleatus is probably the second most common Corydoras species worldwide, surpassed only by the Bronze Cory (Corydoras aeneus).
