Reason:Recommending direct handling is irresponsible as damage to the skin slime layer, delicate motile fins and tail could easily happen accidentally. Addendum is otherwise a much needed"heads up" for the problems with disease and treatment in this species.May help people come to sensible decisions about the viability of including it in community. Old Text:The Black Ghost Knifefish possesses a weak electrical organ at the caudal peduncles which is used to locate food. It is considered a true bony fish.
