would any of you ever put a malawi in a ten gallon tank? because this guy is going to i told him not to but i realy think he is going to!

I don't think that they should. A ten gallon doesn't have enough territory for a malawi, and just one fish in a tank is boring anyway! If he wants to have some other fish with it, then that person is either crazy, or doesn't know any better.

Definately not. There isn't enough room and the fish will get far too large for a ten gallon. I wouldn't put any of my Malawis in a ten gallon even as a hospital tank. Print out all of the replies from this post and show them to him. Hopefully you'll get more.

Better yet, tell him to join FP.

I've been told at every decent lfs and have read on every post or article that I've researched that I can't even put malawi's in a 20g. Believe me, if I could I would.

So, in regards to the 10g - definitely not.

Because there is NOT enough room in a ten gallon tank for a malawi of many sort!
