some choices for tankmates would be chocolate cichlid, uaru, and severums. there are also plenty of Geophagus and Gymnogeophagus that might work if you want to keep only to South Americans, or there are tons of Central American cichlids that would work as well. A school of silver dollars as dithers would look nice.

that stock list wouldn't work. If you have 3 oscars thats all you could have in their. even though its a big tank oscars produce lots of waste

I'd go with something like 2 oscars, 2 severums the silver dollars and 2 bristlenose plecos. if you have excellent filtration (like 3 Aquaclear 500's at least) and keep up with your water changes (30-50% weekly) then you should be ok.

Also, whoever it was that suggested the Midas is incorrect. A midas or a red devil are not good choices for tank mates with oscars. Unless you want some oscars floating belly up I'd stay away from a midas or red devil.

honestly, I would say no. you want your filtration to turn the full volume of the tank over about 10 times per hour with big messy fish like oscars. so to do this you'll need filtration that's rated at a total of 1350 gallons per hour. right now you have 970 gallons per hour with the 3 filters you have and that's the maximum flow rate. once the filters start getting a little clogged you'll be running much less than 970 gph. Personally, I'd leave off the Penguin and get 2 Aquaclear 500's. from [link=http://www.bigalsonline.com]http://www.bigalsonline.com" style="COLOR: #FF8080[/link] you can get AC500's for approximately $33 each.
