I'm starting a 150g cichlid tank. I made up a list of 6 fish, just wondering if they would mix. 3 of each- red parrot, firemouth, salvini, blue acara, green terror, and festivum.

Thanks for any advice

If I understand correctly that you want to put a total of 18 medium to large growing cichlids in a 150 gallon then you're going to run into trouble. even keeping the 3 green terrors will cause trouble if you wind up with 2 males or a breeding pair. a 150 is a large tank but not large enough for all that territoriality as these fish reach adulthood.

if you leave out the salvini and green terrors then you may be ok.

i agree with jason and i would like to also add that the festivum with any of those fish would be a bad idea. these things have heartattachs from their own shadows. best kept in a tank made up of smaller fish that are fairly mellow in activity.

A festivum couldn't even handle my severums so I would not put in with the GT's for certain. I've heard parrots aren't very aggressive either. Good luck...
