I now have my 29 gallon with only one baby angelfish (nickel size body, or half a quarter for some of you) and well......I need more in there she is bored I can tell, I know one more will go in there no problem with her but is there any options that I have to put more in??? I have rescently started an intrest in Corys, everyone loves them says they are a great pet, lots of energy. I have no experience with tankmates for angels, in my past I have only done strictly angel tanks, I know quite a bit (not an expert) on angels but not other fish that can go with them, I have learned over time in keeping them certain fish that cannot go with them just by trail and error but they never had permenent tank mates. So my questions really are; 1.If I had two angels what else goes with angels peacefully? 2.If I were to get corys is there a kind to stray from? Or a kind that goes very well with angels? 3. I am a begginer with Corys is there any I should stay away from? Also please feel free to give me fish besides corys to work with. On this tank there is also very good filtration, for a 29 anyways. It is also a heavy planted tank (fake) and it has airration. I would also like something that is active, and maybe if i'm lucky colorfull as well. Any help would be great, and I thank you now. Thanks again Angel Eel |

My first choice in corys (Pandas) however, didn't work out because the height of the tank was a bit too much for them too handle. I've ended up gettin Albino corys and they have done very well. So I guess bottom line is that if it is not a tall tank, almost any cory would do. As far as getting peaceful tankmates with the Angels, their aren't too many peaceful options you could go with, seeing as how the Angels will more than likely nip at anything they can. But the Harlies are much too quick, So that's your best bet, a quick schooling fish that they will give up in trying to catch. Keep in mind a school of anything should have at least 6 fish, the more the better. Hope this helped. Good luck. |
