Hey, just wondering if its possible to peacefully keep two female kribensis in a 33 gal. together. I ask this because while I like how kribs look, I don't want the problems of a mated pair in a community tank. Also, would it be safe to add a seccond female with an existing one that has allready well established its self in the tank?

I think the 33 might be a bit small if you added an adult female but if you had a juvenile it might work.
I've had a breeding pair in a 33 for a couple of years and never had any obvious problems with the fry growing out. It was a heavily planted tank with lots of hiding places.
I've since put all my Kribs into my 120 gal, which is so much bigger than a 33 I know, so now I have about 20 Kribs in one tank. Most are about 2.5cm and male. I have at least two breeding pairs who have set up house at either end of the tank. I do have a lot of nooks and crannies and plants in the tank which give ample hiding spots for all.

If you have plenty of hiding places and plants, so escape is easy, give it a try.
BTW it is set up as a community tank with lots of other fish, see my homepage for details.

ya, it would be a juvie. And over-stocking hasn't been a problem yet, all the fish in my tank are juvies, the tetras and platies are in there for filler; as they die off or get given away over time, it'll make room for the growth of other fish. Once the fish have matured, I'll likely end up keeping an angel, 1 or 2 rams, 2 kribs, and an albino bristlenose, plus possibly the one from the 10 when it grows too big (currently maybe 3 inches). Just read your post, will check your site out right away.
