	2 cichlids in a 36 gal. tank

Cichlid Keeper Big Fish Posts: 368 Kudos: 466 Votes: 304 Registered: 17-Aug-2003	Well considering the fact that yellow labs are one of the most peaceful african cichlids and are not usually agressive or territorial(only during breeding) it could probably be done. But 36 gallons is really pushing the minimum.Just try to make sure it has a sandy bottom with lots of rocks and caves. Are you wanting to keep a breeding pair?

As they will probably end up becoming a nice little meal for them. Remember if your going to have african cichlids its a good idea to only have other african cichlids in with them. I think you could keep four EY's in your 36 gallon without too many problems. Just make sure that you have plenty of hiding places for them.
