But 36 gallons is really pushing the minimum.Just try to make sure it has a sandy bottom with lots of rocks and caves. Are you wanting to keep a breeding pair? |

As they will probably end up becoming a nice little meal for them. Remember if your going to have african cichlids its a good idea to only have other african cichlids in with them. I think you could keep four EY's in your 36 gallon without too many problems. Just make sure that you have plenty of hiding places for them. |
