I would go with Microworms for the first 3/4 days & Live Brine Shrimp till they atart eating Normal Foods. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I kept them in my community tank with the mom and dad and about 20 other fish. The parents were great about protecting them and I would feed the tank mostly flake food and every other day I would put in some frozen blood worms or brine shrimp. They have really done wonderfully. There are two and they are both around an 1/2 inch long now. I also love that they are now starting to get some coloring and are feeling more free to swim around the tank. If so then they have done an excellent job, as most first time spawners lose the eggs/fry to other fish or panick and eat them themselves. Live food would probabaly be good to feed the growing babies ![]() |

If you put the parents on their own, you will nearly save all the fry, as there will be no other fish that bothers them. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I may try that food next tiem Chris, thanks. For now though I have to say that I am pleased that even two have survived and will likely grow into adulthood. They are already swimming pretty freely and the only fish that could possibly eat them right now is an electric yellow, but he doesn't seem inclined to do that...not yet anyway... |
