The tank is currently unplanted and has a gravel substrate. I'd like colorful, active fish and am not really interested in breeding; a variety of fish would be fine. I'd like to get some stocking suggestions. I currently have a jewel in the tank, would it be able to stay in this type of setup? I also have cories and a BN, would they have to be moved? If you're not interested in breeding (and a good thing, in this case - a pair of Jewels would be unlikely to allow any tankmates in a 30), perhaps some other specimen fish? A Krib, maybe a Buffalohead, that sort of thing. OTOH you could completely change the tank over and do a small Tanganyikan community, maybe a pair of Julies, a comp or calvus, and a shellie group, say L. ocellatus "gold." -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

I was also wondering about a Mbuna setup? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

With a jewel and Krib you could probably keep the aforementioned Buffalohead plus some sturdy community fish, say Barbs and their ilk. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |
