A pair would be a good thing to start with in a tank that size. http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/364.htm |

I have bred multis in a 5 gal before without any problems. Just be sure to do your water changes, and watch for an overload of fish, as a pair will breed and they are great parents. Often times you will see 3, 4, and even more generations living together in harmony. Just be ready to have another tank for the babies as they grow, or at least somewhere you can trade them. There is always a bigger fish... |
