I have a 30gal tank with 3 yellow labs. They are small (the male is 1.5" and the females are 1" and are very timid. In another tank I have a school of Tiger Barbs, 4 regular, 6 green and I was wondering if these two make good tank mates?

they wouldnt make the best tankmates, but they will coexist alright though. neither fish will bother the others and the diets are similar. it is just unusual to mix such different fish, with different water requiremnts. not a huge deal, as i dont beleive ph is huge issue, as long as it is kept as constant as possible.again, not really the best asthetic tank, but it should work out.

I will consider other factors if I decide to add the tigers to the setup.

I don't think that it will be a good setup. I don't know why, but that's how i feel. I would leave the Yellow Labs on their own & wait till they become bigger & maybe breed.

I have changed my mind and I will not be doing this setup.

Your yellow's will grow to about 3-4 inches each, and they won't be skinny little guys either.
Better off just leaving them to the 30G
