Iv been doing some googleing on african chiclids but dont seem to have any luck on them maybe someone here can tell me what i need to know.

What tank size do you need?
How big do they grow?
what can be their tankmates?

and any other info would help

There are over 1500 different species of African Cichlids. Which ones specifically were you thinking of?

Even if you could narrow it down to a specific genus from a specific lake, that would help.

well im not really sure i seen some at walmart and wanted to do more research on them they are really pretty fish and really neat but all the sticker said was african cichlid, i can tell you what on in the tank looked like i know it was like a blue purpleish color and had black stripes and was about 2 inches long and had other colors too, the body kinda looked a little like a Electric Blue Johannii

Those are really beautiful fish on that site but i think that the blue ones are Mbuna and the yellow ones are yellow labs but still not sure i hate that walmart is the only fish place here but theres one more they have in there i have not found yet but still looking but this last one is yallow and a little blue on it and has horizontal thin black stripes on it. I went back to walmart today and searched for the labal of them but none all i found was a sticker on tank that said african cichlids reg. 2in
