I was just wondering if i am overstocked, understocked, or just right?

I have a 75 gallon with:
1- Tiger oscar
1- Firemouth
1- Gold Severum
3- Silver dollars
2- Lace catfish (cleans the bottom good)
1- Ropefish (Reedfish)

Filtration:
1- Penguin bio-wheel 330
2- Penguin bio-wheel 170's

I just want to hear some opinions on the tank whether it should be able to hand the bio-load of these fish or not and if it can how often and how much percent water changes should i do?
All opinions are appreciated.

In my opinion i think your tank is, well overstocked. It does depend on the sizes of all the fish though. But from what i've heard, even a full grown oscar is too big for a 75g. Some people may disagree with me on that.

With water changes, weekly 40% changes would be good.

I think that your overstocked. The Oscar gets huge & would need a 75Gal. on his own.

Yes (if all of them are full grown) you are way overstocked.

Oscars are very very messy fish.

you are only over stocked if your maintenance schedule is not weekly, I have a similarly stocked tank and i have no problems I do a weekly water change of 20 gallons, the water is crystal clear the fish are very healthy

What if i took out the firemouth and rope fish and was left with:

1-oscar
1-severum
3-silver dollars
2-lace catfish
would that be a good stock?

it is just about full to over stocked. right on the line. the ropefish i am guessing will get long, the oscar will need around 69 gallons to itself, the selvums should be o.k in a 75, the silver dollars should be o.k, so again it is right on the line, but the oscar and the rope fish might push it over.

p.s i would leave the firemouth in the tank, and move the rope fish, and oscar to another 75 gallon tank or +

I'd take out the Tiger Oscar and the 3 silver dollars.

I would take out the oscar and the reed fish and put them both in a 100g+. All the other fish should be ok, thats if you do weekly changes.

keep it until they get to big then if you have to move a fish, enjoy what you have for the time being:88)

thank you everyone for the advice, i think since i do not have a spare tank i will return the rope fish to the store and wait to see if the others become a problem if they do i will ahve to remove one of the larger cichlids.
