I have a small angelfish in my tank (see sig), and it can't be more than 2" long. People are telling me my tank is too small for it, but then I see people on other posts with 2 angels in a 20 gal. Will I be able to keep my fish? He is the lord of the tank after all...

I don't know. Angelfish need a larger tank.

Unfortunately, 20 gallons is too small a tank for an Angelfish, under any circumstances...

They need a nice, tall tank in order to let their fins grow vertically without hinderance. They also need approximately 30 gallons minimum in swimming space in order to feel comfortable with their surroundings. Just as you wouldn't want to have to live in one little room all your life, they prefer as much space as they can get...

And for those that you see where two, three, or more Angels are in one 20 gallon tank, I'll recommend they move them also. If they haven't been told that yet, then they will with time

YOu might be able to keep him and a friend in a 20 tall. The problem isn't the gallon size it is the height of the tank. It will stunt it's growth and just be unhealthy for him/her.

That's too bad. What should I do with my angel then? It came with the tank when I bought it from someone in town.

Hey!!! 2 posts at the same second, how about that. If height is the problem, I still don't think my tank is big enough, as the height is only medium.

You could always sell the angel to the LFS.
