My dad's friend is shutting down his aquarium and he asked me if I would want his angelfish. I would take it but I am afraid it will eat my zebra danios. What do you think? Thanks

I have an angelfish with zebra danios and they seem to get along fine. Some people have warned about the danios nipping at the angel's fins, but I haven't seen it happen with mine. My angel is pretty calm though, it is in with neons and doesn't bother them either.
Good luck!

I wouldn't worry about it, unless the angel is really big. The danios I have are way too big for any of my angels to eat. The ghost shrimp might be toast though.

Good luck, Mike

I would worry more for your cherry barbs. They are awfully small, and when I saw what short work my Angel made of some neons I bought, I promptly removed the rest of the neons and the cherry barb!!
I was so afraid for the tiny little cherry barb!
I have however since then decided, that when money comes in in September, that I am going to keep a nice large school of neons for my Angel to snack on. It is natural, and neons are cheap, and I wouldnt mind making Pete happy, nor having the splash of color the neons lend the tank!
Good luck! Keep an eye on your cherry barbs!

Arent almost all barbs nippy too? I know tiger barbs are notoriously nippy at least so the cherry barbs could be a problem.

My Cherry Barbs are the shyest fish in the tank. What about sparkling gouramis with angelfish? I wanted to get one or two of those. Thanks

Yeah, cherry barbs are really shy, retiring fish. They never have problems w/ aggression.
