I have been having a mass die of in my 25g tank due to some nasty bacterial disease, and despite treatments and lots of money spent, have now lost almost all the fish in there. It is a tall tank, and I think my Angels would appreciate their own space. I currently have it set up with 2 Cascade filters, a 150 and a mini. This does approx. 60g of filtration. I have a 150w rena top cal heater in there, a large sea rock scene made of resin, and tons of wisteria and java fern. Heres a pic: 25g tank nowThe plants are more dense now, and the statue is in a slightly different place, but essentially you get the idea. So, once I have the tank stripped and sterilized, and everything cleaned up, I am going to put my Angels in there. They have been laying their eggs on a huge anubias plant of mine. Should I move it into the 25g? Will Anubias grow under .5wpg? Should I remove the excess plants? Or will the Angels appreciate the plantedness of the tank? Are peppered corys a good dither fish? Has anyone ever done a breeding colony of corys with a breeding pair of angels? I was thinking of putting 6 peppers in there. Is the filtration too strong? Should I sponge off the intakes?
