When I fed homemade fishfood as a basic diet, I worried about possible vitamin/mineral imbalances, deficiencies or surfeits. My personal preference is to feed a variety of high quality flake, pellet and crumble foods along with frozen mysis, frozen bloodworms, and (occasionally) live whiteworms and small red wigglers. My angels were not particularly crazy about a shrimp/green pea/flake homemede gel food I tried (Konnings recipe), two varieties of prepared frozen food from the LFS's freezer, nor with frozen plankton. Fussy fish! |
