I'd like it to be planted with some cardinals, and a quarter sized angel. My questions are how many cardinals should I add? and how long can I keep the angel before its to big for the tank? |

Even a small, quarter-sized angelfish would outgrow a ten gallon tank very quickly. Instead, I'd buy a dwarf cichlid, like an apistogramma. With a two inch dwarf, you'd barely be able to fit six cardinal tetras in there, with superior filtration. Tetras don't produce much waste, and with weekly 30% water changes, you should be okay. By the way, welcome to the site! ![]() |
