I have a pair of Torquoise/Black Angels. Is there anyone who can tell me if the Angels would be good tank mates for Kribs and or German Rams? I have had the Rams before and loved them. The Kribs have always interested me, but I have never had any.

By the way the tank they will be in is either 70g or 75g.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Alec

Yes, i think in a tank that size that those fish will be fine. ALl of the fish have a chance to breed so you will have to watch for pairs forming. If they do form put them in a different tank.

yeah they will do fine. the angels are surface fish and the kribs and rams are bottom dwellers.

The Angels will be fine, but are the Kribs & Rams both bottom fish?.

In my experience my rams usually stay close to the bottom but as months go by and they become more accustomed to the tank they will venture up to the surface a little more, but they predominatley stay near the bottom.

75g tank....4ft x 18 inches footprint. this is alot of area. 1 pair of kribs or 2 pairs of rams would be fine but i recommend mixing them. there is plenty of space for the both of them but sooner or later someone is gona cross a territory line. the ram wont win this war and the outcome wouldnt be pretty at all.
one or the other would be fine, might even be able to get away with 2 pairs of kribs in one tank but no other bottom dwellers like cories. anythign else would get a beating once they breed.

I wouldnt recommend mixing Kribs with angels and rams.
Kribensis are an african cichlid, and do not speak the same "language" so to speak as south american cichlids.
This is a disaster waiting to happen. My sister had her kribs kill 2 gold rams, 2 blue rams and a bolivian ram, and a youngish angelfish. Kribs are highly aggressive, espescially when spawning, and would do best in an african setup. I would not recommend them for a peaceful community tank. In fact, I would not recommend mixing african cichlids with any other type of fish- it is death and disaster in a small package.

i have kept these fish all in the one tank.
and they all lived and still live fine today.

yes they can become savage when spawning. (there not killers). but that is typical of all or most cichlids

and no im not having a go at any one. remember this info is correct for my fish. not everyones fish will act in the same manner.

thanks for listing (or reading)
