I have the Agassizi in with a bunch of dime size Angels. The water the Cacatuoides came in was 6.2 ph so thats what I have them in but I read that they will do okay and even breed 7.0-7.6ph. I think I'll slowly bring them up to 7.5 which is what my tap water is. If the tank is tall enough my guess is they would do okay because Apistogrammas are bottom, hang around the cave, kind of fish while Angels like the middle of the tank. Mike |

The angels spend most of their time in the top half of the tank and the apistos the bottom half. Don't expect any apisto fry to survice in the tank with the angels tho. I've found them VERY efficient at eating anything small enough to fit in their mouths. |

I placed 2 agassizi with quarter sixed angels in a 60 gallon bare bottom growout tank furnished with a few empty flowerpots and a few clumps of java fern and was surprised to witness serious fin attacks made by inch and a half long apistos... Determined fin shredders. I had to remove the apistos. Maybe in a densely planted tank the apistos would have been far less aggressive/more mellow keeping busy exploring the bottom. Hard to say. |

I moved out the larger ones because the Agassizi were hiding alot. I see them a little more now but not much. No trouble so far but the tank has lots of pots, plants and rockwork. As soon as I get the ph equalized I'm going to put in a pair of Cacatuoides. Hey BlAcK rHINo, are your Cacatuoides yellow body with orange fins? THanks, Mike [span class="edited"][Edited by Mike R 2004-09-03 23:07][/span] |

They SHOULD be fine, but I had a pair of aggassizis, which were promptly returned to the lfs because they were chased nearly to death (actually, I think one of them kicked the bucket on the way back to the lfs) by the angels in my tank. |
