I know Angels are known to eat neons, but what about other small schoolers?
Specifically would angels decide to snack on a school of WCMM?I know they're similar in size and shape to neons, but i think they're a bit bigger.

The reason i'm asking is that i've got a school of WCMMs, 3 pearl gouramis and a CAE in a 55(US)gal, and thought of adding a couple of angels.

They'll be okay as long as they're a little bigger than neons. Can't gaurantee anything if they're smaller.

Don't WCMMs like cooler water though?

Full grown WCMM will be ok with angels, and they are alright in warmer water aswell.

As long as they don't fit in their mouth, then they're Ok.

I have angels with WCMMs and for the most part it worked well, but I have witnessed an angel taking out a small one. Make sure your white clouds are full grown!!!

I'm planning on getting the angels small so i can watch them grow, and i'm pretty sure the minnows are full grown.

Would 3 or 4 angels most probably get along? If they paired off i'd move them to another tank (is 20gal the minimum?)

Depending on the size of your tank, 3-4 young angels would get along swimmingly. If they pair of you would want at least a 25gallon TALL tank for the angels (18 inches or higher). I wouldnt recommend any less than that.
My angels were always fine with WCMM, and WCMM are fine in 80-84f water in my experience - they are usually bred and raised in those temps anyway.
Aside from neons, I have had no bad experiences with angels and small fish, including glowlights, wcmm, danios, and rummynose tetras.

Watch out for your pearl gouramis, whenever i put angels in a community tank they seem to go after the bigger fish like the gouramis and nip at the fins. this could just be me though, just thought i would let u know.
