That will stress them out considerably and egg eating will likely result. I have actually found that the higher the TDS, the better the angel broods develop.

Always leave a night lamp, so that the parents can keep an eye on the eggs & fry even at night.

Well, the babies disappeared after night 1 of free swimming. I blame it on the cory cats
They have laid another batch of eggs yesterday.
My Angels eggs always hatch on Day 4.
I think it has something to do with minerals in the water.
Anyway, I am hoping that every time they do it, they get closer. This is the first time fry have free swimmed with the parents.
I am positive now, that my Angels arent hopeless.
This batch I am going to wait till the fry are almost free swimming, and then gently confiscate half the brood and raise them myself. The other half I will leave with the parents.

2 to 3 days to hatch & yes, they'll take care of the fry, but if it's their first time they might eat the eggs.

Cool how long do angels take?
And once the eggs are hatched will the parents protect the fry?

Different fish = different hatching periods. Some take hours & some months.

Depends on the fish. It can take anywhere from a day and a half to well beyond two weeks.

Well, after much thought, I decided to remove the 4 buenos aires tetra from my 25g, and shortly after my angels laid eggs as usual.
This time though is different, they have actually become
the perfect parents!
The eggs have hatched, wiggled, and are now free swimming!
Its so cute watching the babies swimming with mom and dad!
I am so happy.

Reiko,
I have been waiting for this
moment for a year!!
I guess sometimes it takes the right conditions,
and the right moods of the parent fish.
I will keep you guys posted and post pics asap.
