Mine all tended to grow quite fast, with the last one I kept starting at about 1 1/2in and growing to 6in within the first 3 months. He was brought up on flake, sinking bites and Hikari stable and gold pellets. Generally peaceful to most other fish when they are small (below 8in) even when kept with fish smaller then they are. However I have noticed a tendency to harass fish that are red in colour as the Empress matures. Hope this helps. Scorpion_Fish |
