i've just brought the last remaining Apistogramma cacatuoides my LFS had it's a male - lovely colours and has fed well already on water fleas, but i've just noticed that he has one of his pectoral fins completely missing. he does seem to be swimming ok, can't really tell because he is new he is hiding alot. he was swimming ok in store, all other fins are fine and colourful, i've treated with fin rot just incase.

Will the fin grow back, if it's been damaged in afight in LFS for example?
if not will he be ok?

i'll get a female as soon as LFS get some in.

any tips or advise on these little fellas

cheers Karl.

If it's completely gone, it may not grow back, at least not all the way. If it was just an injury and the fish doesn't get an infection, it should be just fine. It won't be able to swim as effectively as before, but it will still be able to get around.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
