My oscars recently lay a batch of eggs on a piece of slate.
They have fertilize it and everything (The eggs are Hazel, they are fertilize), I took the slate and put it in a ten gallon alone. It been 4 days now and it have a thick layer of fungus, are they gonna hatch any time soon? So far the eggs are half hazel and divided by a black line. Any advice?

If there developing a fungus then i would say they are dead. If im not mistaken most oscar eggs hatch within 48 hours of fertilization.

why did you take the eggs out, oscars are great parents, they will hover over them fanning them to prevent the fungus from forming, the fry can live with the parents until they are ready to lay again

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."
