I have one egg from my Aulonocara Stuartgranti 'Mdoka' it is due to become free swimming tomorrow. The reason for there only being one is I had five to begin with( the mother is just over 2) The rest fugused. It is currently a baby attached to the egg. The fish is not moving. What should I do in the way of a setup? I already have liquid fry and a small powdered food. I have a 5 gallon that will be availible soon or I could use a 2.5 gal.

For the first couple of weeks, I think you can use a 2.5 gallon, but be prepared to upgrade...I actually like the idea of the smaller tank for fry, but that is meI have had trouble trying to find Corydora fry in my 125:%)

I read recently to add some Mythelene Blue to the tank after the eggs have been layed and this will help with fungus, I haven't had to try it yet, but it is something you might want to keep in mind...

Best of luck, heidi

One of my yellow labs has eggs that are almost ready to hatch and I am thinking of raising them with this one.

The Aulonocara won't fair very well, they just can't compete with Mbuna fry
