I have just purchased 1 male and 2 female of the above they are all still juveniles but i think i know which is the male even though they are all similar colouration,Any ideas how big they have to be before the adult coulouration becomes noticeable.

Hello. Most Peacocks start showing their colors around 2" or so. As for yours you will only have one with the brilliant colors as females do not get the coloring. I have only raised 1 male Aulonocara Ngara and he started showing at about 2". I currently am raising 5 more but they are only about 1.25" now and not really showing yet. Be patient and good luck.

My red peacock was about 1 1/2in before he got his colour.
Have several other peacocks that have shown colour at about 1in, and others that haven't shown until they were bigger than 3in.
But on average I would have to agree with the 2in mark as mentioned before.
