My brichardi have had babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got home tonight and there were 10 tiny tiny little babies swimming around. I think maybe they're still hatching as later on there were 12. I can't beleive they've bred, they're all fairly small themselves!

Whoo-hoo! I love Brichardi, they're great. How big are the parents? Any pictures?

The babies are in an area where a trio live - 2 of them are just about 2 inches long, the other is only about 1.5". I've been trying to take pictures of them, but they're so tiny and fast that the camera has trouble focusing on them.

These are the best I got:

Ok, here's a picture of one of the trio, I don't know if it's male or female, but it's got a bent spine (I assume from bad breeding lines)

And here's another of the three. This one seems to have been kicked out of the area where the babies are swimming around.

Congratulations............ My Brichardi spawn regulary & the small ones will grow fast. Just feed them some Liquifry for egg layers or any other liquid food. Later on feed them small cruched flakes & some brine shrimp.

Good luck with the small ones & in about 3 weeks time they will spawn again & by time the eggs will increase & you'll have more fry.

The parents will defend the fry at all cost & against everyting.
