Hey everyone,

I've had my blue acaras for a while now, must been more than a month.
The 2 are in my only tank, a 15G with 5 serpae tetras. I know it's bit crowded.
But I'll be getting a larger tank like in november or december.
Just recently i noticed that my female's stomach has grown significantly.
Since I put them on frozen community food (worm, beef heart, vegetable, wheat all blended and frozen)
The female is eating more than normal, but her stomach is larger than normal.
And I also noticed that there's something sticking out near her bum.
(not that i like staring at fishie bums)
And the male is following her around every where.
So does that mean they are gonna breed?
How long until the female is gonna lay her eggs?
I can't wait!!! Bred guppies, swordtail, kribs before.
Can't wait to get something new!!!/:'

It should be soon, you will notice them gaurding a certain area, and also digging pits for the fry.
