I am VERY new to cichlids and i dont have any ...yet!
I thought blue rams are the best i saw!
I was wondering...:
how big do they get?
good with livebearers?
should i get 1 or 2?
good in 10gl.?

I've got a pair of rams with guppies, no problems so far. they've been in there about six weeks. They haven't spawned yet though, they might get cranky when that happens.

Mine are about an inch right now but the get about three inches or so. A 10 might be a little small. when cichlids feel crowded they get testy. Mine are in a 29 with 2 angels, 4 guppies and 2 small firemouths that will get a tank of their own once they grow some.

Blue Rams are nice fish and I breed them regularly...however a lot of people can not keep them
They do not like pH above 7.0, and if kept there they usally don't last long. The Bolivian Ram is much easier to keep and I have seen them in pH up to 8.0, they will not spawn though until you lower there pH. Later and Good Luck
