Lucylou  Hobbyist Posts: 82 Kudos: 87 Votes: 40 Registered: 12-Aug-2003   | I just bought 2 blue head apistos, talking to another lfs mate (different store than i bought them from) he thinks there's still some contention over species name... anyone got any info on these guys? Tips on picking males from females? Thanks in advance... |

Males are much more colorful and their fins are longer. Agasizzi Bitaenita Borelli All 3 of these have some blue on their head. The Borelli is mostly blue. Mike |

I think I have two males though...I just wanted to know whether the females would have similar colouration etc to the males and only vary in something like dorsal fin length or be a different colour entirely like in other apistos... |
