![]() | Blue rams...... what should I feed them? |
jack999![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 117 Kudos: 397 Votes: 29 Registered: 20-Feb-2004 ![]() ![]() | I just ordered a m/f pair for my 29g community tank. I typically feed flakes and shrimp pellets, adding frozen brine shrimp, freeze dried bloodworms and algae wafers for variety. Is that sufficient for the blue rams as well or will they need something different? |

A good quality flake and a good quality pellet should be the staple. The treats like bloodworms and brine shrimp will keep them happy, and help to trigger a spawn. |

They also like the Hikari Micro Pellets I give the tetras, as well as frozen bloodworms and daphnia, and live mosquito larvae. They pretty much ignore algae wafers, but your milage may vary. |

They will order whatever you want provided it's available through their supplier. Their prices are fairly competitive also. Here's their website if you want to check them out. There is also a type of food that is made specifically for rams. Some them have color echcancers that work well. ![]() |
