They are pretty small cichlids, and don't take up much space. In addition to that, they don't guard overly large territories, and can tolerate each other. As long as you provide them with plenty of hiding places and decor, they should be able to coexist just fine. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
