I have a pair of convicts and plenty of babies. I don't really want to split them up, but want to stop the reproduction. If I dropped the temperature would that reduce the reproduction? Fairly new to cichlids. Any help appreciated.

Theres not much you can do besides splitting convicts up to stop them from breeding. They are the rabbits of the fish world.
