Just wondering if Brichardis could be introduced into a Malawian setup with aceis, hongi and yellow labs?

Reading the species profile on cichlid-forum about Brichardi's
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/n_brichardi.php

I came across an interesting sentence:
I would not recommend keeping N. brichardi with Malawian, or Victorian cichlids no matter the circumstances, and Tanganyikan shell dwellers in most cases.

Brichardi's are recommended for species only tanks, or in larger tanks with some of the other tankmates which are mentioned in that profile.

EDIT - spellin'

I have two 2" Brichardi I keep by themselves in a 20 gal. with a limestone cave and a couple of small plants. I had some small white snails hitchhike on a plant and soon there were a bunch of snails. I tried to put a 4" YoYo Loach in there as a temporary means of cleaning up the snails. The Brichardi's went nuts. The Loach, for the most part tried to ignore their incessant attacks but there was no abatement and I couldn't take it any longer so I removed the loach (he's living happily in a 30 gal. high now). The Brichardi stayed on patrol for a bit then went back to their normal peaceful behavior. I've given up on any ideas of giving the Brichardi any tankmates, I'm pretty sure my tank is too small for that in the first place.

Brichardis do get very territorial and can dominate small tanks. You should keep them in a community only if its a large tank with large tankmates (6"+). They arent that aggressive to larger fish, my pictus are 2x their size and the pictus do beat them up when they enter their cave.

Brichardi become highly aggresive. I really would'nt recommend it as they really are like little firecrackers that will defend a territory and make life a misery for most other fish in there.

as for brichardi's being extremely aggresive, i have never witnessed them being aggresive, and i have 50 fry of them and 2 adults being kept with 3 male johannii(1 adult 2 1" but seeing in alot of other tanks, they aren't usually kept in species only tanks.
