Brichardi's are recommended for species only tanks, or in larger tanks with some of the other tankmates which are mentioned in that profile. I had some small white snails hitchhike on a plant and soon there were a bunch of snails. I tried to put a 4" YoYo Loach in there as a temporary means of cleaning up the snails. The Brichardi's went nuts. The Loach, for the most part tried to ignore their incessant attacks but there was no abatement and I couldn't take it any longer so I removed the loach (he's living happily in a 30 gal. high now). The Brichardi stayed on patrol for a bit then went back to their normal peaceful behavior. I've given up on any ideas of giving the Brichardi any tankmates, I'm pretty sure my tank is too small for that in the first place. ![]() O Tempora O Mores |

You should keep them in a community only if its a large tank with large tankmates (6"+). They arent that aggressive to larger fish, my pictus are 2x their size and the pictus do beat them up when they enter their cave. |

I really would'nt recommend it as they really are like little firecrackers that will defend a territory and make life a misery for most other fish in there. |
